The perfect vegetarian alternative to wings. These breaded cauliflower florets are cooked until crunchy and tossed in a fiery Buffalo-style glaze.
Ingredients
- 17.6 oz cauliflower, cut into florets
- 5.3 oz all-purpose flour
- 3.9 oz panko breadcrumbs
- 8.8 fl oz milk
- 0.5 tsp onion powder
- 0.5 tsp garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp paprika
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable oil spray, for cooking
- 3.4 fl oz Buffalo sauce
- 1 fl oz vegetable oil, for the glaze
Instructions
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Gradually add milk, whisking continuously to form a thick batter.
Place panko breadcrumbs in a separate shallow bowl.
Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, allowing excess to drip off. Press firmly into the panko breadcrumbs to ensure a complete coating.
Arrange the coated florets in a single layer in the cooking basket. Spray generously with vegetable oil spray.
Cook at 340°F for 27 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
While the cauliflower is cooking, combine the Buffalo sauce and 1 fl oz of vegetable oil in a large bowl.
Add the hot, cooked cauliflower to the sauce and toss gently to coat evenly. Serve immediately.
