Ingredients
- 16 oz pork loin, cubed
- 0.35 oz cornstarch
- 4 oz water
- 2 oz soy sauce
- 2 oz brown sugar
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 0.07 oz fresh ginger, grated
- Cooking spray
- Wooden skewers
Instructions
In a small saucepan, dissolve the cornstarch in cold water. Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, for approximately 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Set aside to cool slightly.
Thread the pork cubes onto wooden skewers. Reserve half of the sauce for glazing. Coat the skewers with the remaining sauce and marinate for 30 minutes.
Preheat the appliance to 400°F. Place the skewers in the basket and apply a light coat of cooking spray.
Cook for a total of 9 minutes.
During the cooking process, brush the skewers with the reserved teriyaki sauce every 2 minutes to build a glaze.
Chef's Tip
"Apply additional teriyaki sauce every 2 minutes during cooking to create a thick, caramelized layer."
