Steak & Horseradish Toasted Sandwich
Bold flavors in every bite. Perfectly roasted steak is paired with a pungent, creamy horseradish sauce to cut through the richness, all tucked into a warm, toasted roll.
Ingredients
- 1 beef steak, ribeye cut (approx. 16 oz)
- 0.85 fl oz extra virgin olive oil
- 0.21 oz coarse salt
- 0.07 oz ground black pepper
- 3.88 oz sour cream
- 1.41 oz white horseradish sauce
- 0.07 oz fresh chives, minced
- 1 small shallot, finely minced
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 2 sesame seed buns
- Fresh arugula, for serving
Instructions
Season the steak on all sides with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Preheat the appliance to 400°F. Cook the steak for approximately 6 minutes for rare to medium doneness.
In a bowl, combine the sour cream, horseradish, minced chives, minced shallot, and lemon juice to prepare the sauce.
Remove the steak and let it rest on a cutting board for 5-10 minutes. Slice against the grain.
Toast the buns. Spread the horseradish sauce on the buns. Assemble the sandwich with fresh arugula and the sliced steak.
Chef's Tip
"Rest the steak for 5-10 minutes before slicing to ensure juices are retained."
