Ingredients
- 4 large dill pickles, drained
- 2.3 oz all-purpose flour
- 1.1 oz fine breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 0.07 oz sweet paprika
- 0.04 oz cayenne pepper
Instructions
Thoroughly dry the pickles with paper towels. Slice them lengthwise into spears.
Prepare a three-stage breading station: one dish with flour, a second with beaten eggs, and a third with a mixture of breadcrumbs, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
Dredge each pickle spear in flour, then dip in the beaten egg, allowing excess to drip off. Finally, coat completely with the seasoned breadcrumb mixture.
Arrange the breaded spears in a single layer in the cooking basket. Spray evenly with cooking oil.
Cook at 356°F for 10 minutes. Flip the spears halfway through the cooking time.
Chef's Tip
"Ensure pickles are thoroughly dried before breading to guarantee a crisp coating that adheres properly."
