Ingredients
- 14 oz skin-on chicken thighs
- 10.5 oz chicken wings
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
Instructions
Combine brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to create the dry rub.
Pat the chicken pieces dry with a paper towel. Coat the chicken evenly with the dry rub. Let the chicken rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Preheat the appliance to 383°F. Place the chicken in the basket and cook for 22-25 minutes.
After approximately 15 minutes of cooking, brush the chicken pieces with a generous layer of barbecue sauce.
Continue cooking for 4 minutes. Turn the chicken pieces and brush the other side with barbecue sauce. Cook for the remaining time until a sticky crust forms and the chicken is cooked through.

"Apply the barbecue sauce towards the end of the cooking time. Applying the sauce at the beginning of the cooking process will cause the sugars to burn and develop a bitter taste."
