A classic Italian breaded cutlet. This cooking method yields a light result with a crispy crust comparable to traditional pan-frying.
Ingredients
- 2 thin-sliced chicken or veal cutlets
- 1 large egg, beaten
- Coarse breadcrumbs, as needed
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions
Pound the cutlets to an even thickness if necessary.
Season the beaten egg with salt and pepper. Dip each cutlet into the egg, then coat thoroughly with breadcrumbs, pressing firmly to adhere.
Preheat the appliance to 375°F (190°C).
Coat the appliance basket with cooking spray. Place the cutlets in the basket and spray their top surfaces.
Cook for 12-15 minutes. Halfway through cooking, flip the cutlets and spray the other side.
