Bold, smoky, and full of soul. These catfish fillets are coated in a traditional Louisiana-style spice blend, resulting in a blackened finish that’s big on flavor and low on carbs.
Ingredients
- 2 catfish fillets (approx. 6 oz each)
- 0.21 oz sweet paprika
- 0.14 oz garlic powder
- 0.07 oz onion powder
- 0.07 oz dried thyme
- 0.035 oz dried basil
- 0.035 oz dried oregano
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
- Non-stick cooking spray
Instructions
Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, basil, oregano, and cayenne pepper to create the spice rub.
Coat both sides of the fish fillets evenly with the spice rub.
Spray the fillets generously with cooking spray and place them in the preheated air fryer basket.
Cook at 350°F for 7 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
